GW 592 is a special invitation game. It's 30x30. I hope we can eventually fill it and have no single blockers.

Url: http://gangwar.plit.dk/cgi-bin/gangwar.pl?_cmd=JoinGame2
Game: 592
Password: 34kkksd

It should count for points, I think, but I'll leave that up to you.

So how do we get an invitation?

It looks like you invite yourself. It's apparently open to anybody smart enough to read the forums and get the password.

Yeah I tried that but it still comes up as password protected even after I enter the password - is it because I havnt actually finished a game yet now that ive returned?

AHHHHHHHHH sorted it - I had copy and pasted the password in but there was a space at the end which screwed it up - Doh

Unfortunately, I don't expect this one to start for a long time (tell any good players you find that don't read the forum!) but once it does, it should be very interesting...

We need 13 more gangs before we can start.

No one? Anyone? It doesn't matter if you're not good...

I sent out invites in 590 to the some of the active gangs. Once 600 has been going for a few days I'll send out some more.

Whoever decided to start 546 and 592 before they were even half full without posting a note in the chat or forum for players who don't access these static wars every day screwed up.

I'm out of both, there is no point in playing where I have already wasted APs from inaction and starting position varies wildly from gang to gang depending on whether you're next to good players or absolutely nobody.

Emails are sent out to your registered email accounts when games start. If you don't check your email, or registered with a bum account, it's your own fault if you missed the game start.

Also, only 300 AP have been accrued since both 546 and 592 started. If anyone has lost AP, it's because they didn't spend them when the first joined the game, and because of that, they stood little chance of winning anyway. Otherwise, I'm sure you can absorb the loss of some spare change

I'm not sure why I have to explain this since you already know it, but there are 3 decent courses of action in the early game when you run out of novices:
1) Recruit
2) Use Experienced Gang Members to attack
3) Save APs for next turn

Obviously, choosing #3 leaves APs which could possibly be lost if multiple turns are missed. Saving APs at the beginning is an effective strategy, basically trading development for flexibility. Even without the lost APs, I'm pretty sure my chances of winning are as good as anyones.

Anyone else interested in another Crucible? Post here so I know who's interested (determines board size).

Most excellent. A 10 x 10 map. Game full in a matter of hours and we're all playing. Gotta say it's mighty nice.

Look for the next Crucible right here in a week or so (aiming for game 690). Nine gangs only. First come, first served. Password will be "Crucible"

See link in beginning of thread to sign up. No in-game messages will be sent this time, but feel free to recruit worthy players within your own games.

There is no game. I hope it hasn't ended. I was going to participate. If it has, are there any other private games? If you know one, please tell me on G.W, by the name of "Techies", or on V.O.W, by the name of "Nacho Man".

On another note... the last Crucible (GW#690) was won by Corporate Mystics. Good job mate!
