Thread: Question about player stats

I'm not entirely sure what some of the player stats do. Skills I have questions on are the 'class' skill, the charisma skill, and the difference between weight and load.

"class"
This is kind of the LEVEL of your character.
It's pretty important, as a warrior gets a new attack every 75 class he gains.
1- 74 = 1 melee attack
75-149 = 2 melee attacks
150-224 = 3 melee attacks
etc...

Rangers get a new missile attacks every 30 class and a new melee attack every 200 ;)
1-29 = 1 missile
30-59 = 2 missiles
60-90 = 3 missiles
etc...

1-199 = 1 melee
200-399 = 2 melee
400-599 = 3 melee
etc..

And for rogues it strengtens their Haggling / herbloring / streetwise and also a tiny bit their melee damage.

Mages and Healers get more MP from it, i believe.
The mages MP-cost for spells lowers with class too, and healers give more HP when healing their partners :)

"charisma"
Gives MP to healers and mages :)
And of course it also contributes too the MagicDefence and the defense agains curses :)

"the difference between weight and load"
Well, to make a long storry short, Weight is the total weight of all the items a character is carrying.
The Load is how hard it weights down on them.
A big strong dwarf with lots of Strength and especially Endurance can carry 100kg (or lbs or whatever) and barely notice it, while a tiny little elf is having the same troubles when carrying 25kg.

By casting improved movement they have less problems carrying the weight and their LOAD drops :)
The lower your LOAD, the less AP it cost you to move from square to square. The minimum load for outside dungeons on regular PLAINS is 3 AP / square. For dungeaons the lowest is 1 AP / square.
As you can see dungeons cost less AP to walk around in then on the outside.

I hope this helps you a bit?

For Healers, MP = Class + Divinity + Charisma
For Mages, MP = Class + Magic + Charisma

I'll give you that one for free :P

Self-knowledge... the beginning of all wisdom...
You must be so smart, sir! :)

But then again, withouth violence the world would be a better place too, but it would be too damned boring and the suicide-rate would raise a huge lot :)
