Am I the only one that gets some sort of 'script' trying to run with these bottom voting sites? last time it came up, it started running something about a trojan. It's bad enough these bottom 3 sites, which look identical, are housing pop up ads, but come on, scripts now too, with possible trojans?

(Spartan101)You're talking as if Trojans only have one form.
When you say the bottom one do you mean

RPG Gateway Top 100 RPG Sites (rpgtopsites.com)

as I did notice it lost it's voting button which seemed odd, although I have never got any messages about scripts. The last thing I need is another Trojan, I have introduced over 6 onto my Hall's network in the past 3 weeks and afew other nasty viruses, if they catch anymore then I'm off the network :S.

Going to any sites on the internet without having a sufficiently protected computer is a bad idea.

Will put a post in the general forum about protecting the computer so you know what I am talking about.

A trojan horse is a virus that duplicates itself on your computer causing the hard drive to overload and just basically crash i believe, very frustrating to get rid of, especially if you don't have a virus protection.

More malecious versions can be used to get information off a computer or delete important files for running software(i.e shutting down anti-viruses and firewalls). Others can use keylogs(record keyboard strokes and sends them to a user and can gain access to passwords creditcard details etc.), and some of the more basic just mess about witht he computer in the way a normal virus could be expected to run(Disabling keyboard and mouse acces or just messing about with them, bringing up pointless and continuous errors etc)

Aye, it doesn't remove important parts to Norton or that kinda stuff simply because, some viruses are made immune to norton's and such because they are well known. As for toying with the keyboard and such, i haven't heard of a trojan doing that.. worm's and regular hacking tools, yes, but not a trojan. I could be wrong though.

If you think you have a trojan, go to http://www.windowsecurity.com/trojanscan/ to scan/possibly remove it.

It seems no concern over a voting site possibly carrying a trojan :S

oh well. i'm not voting on those 3 sites anymore. It seems when I go on a voting spree, I always come out with something nasty here and I believe it to be those sites.
