im pretty sure a dog is the weakest, but whats the next weakest and what lv. should i be to attack it and live? |

Probably; War Dog, Wolf, Minor Kobold, Minor Goblin, Lion, Tiger, Minor Orc, Boar, Bear;
you'll progress slowly; I think the first four are doable for a starting char with all his hp's; the others will come in gradually; note that dog, war dag, wolf, lion, tiger, boar and bear are always unarmed; the kobold , the goblin, and the orc use different types of weaponry; bear this in mind when you train; a lot of unarmed in the beginning can help a lot against the animals, but you'll need other weapon skill too to face the others |
