Post questions here if you cannot find the answer after reading the other topics in this thread. Most of the questions can be answered by reading the topics but if not post them here and someone will answer or direct you to the proper link...BigB

You could/should make a FAQ.

Didn't someone do that once?

ha ha I thought about that but then I realized there are too many FAQ's now which aren't read so I will do this and I bet I will have two decent questions by January, the rest of em will still be in chat lol ...

does anyone know if you can attack a block without any weapons, or send more men than you send weapons???

Hi Locked and Loaded,

You've probably already figured out the answer already but you can send as many weapons and armours as you want. The only restriction is that you can't send more than one weapon and one armour per gang member -- one guy can't use two (or more) weapons/armours. In my opinion weapons and armours like pistols and vests are fairly ineffective and should be saved for defense or sold for cash.

Best of luck and welcome to GangWar! :-)

The Vercetti Gang.

Thanks Vercetti, but why is thier so many inactive players. I mean every 3-5 days a new gang war starts, and you check on the Ranking Lists and week later and thier is only about 10-15 player that I have expanded at least one.

My point is, is the owner of PLIT games, just fillin, these slots with random made people, or are these players just not smart enough to expand???

Every spot in the game is filled by a real person. I think that most of the people who join the game are expecting a graphical shoot-em-up. Maybe some think that the game is stupid because they can't figure it out and maybe others just don't like the game at all.

Hey-

A question about new member generation. Is there a mathematical formula that tells you how many new recruits you'll get at the beginning of your turn, or is it random? Is it based solely on the number of residential you have, or does it also have to do with money, power, and how many troops you already have?

Thanks.

New members are generated something like this...

The compuer picks a random number between 0.5 (worst case) and 1.5 (best case) and then multiplies it by 10% of your total RES.

So... if you have 1000 RES... you might get anywhere between 50 and 150 novices.

0.5 * 1000 * 10/100 = 50 (worst case)

1.5 * 1000 * 10/100 = 150 (best case)

1.0 * 1000 * 10/100 = 100 (average)

There are no other factors involved. :-)

Vercetti thats absolutely correct, but you had to include the "that there are no other factors", at the end. And I totally disagree with that, I havent quite finished my GangWar yet, but I find that if you go on a complete COM and FPL spree the previous turn, you will get a higher than average income of members.

It also works Vice - Versa, you take 20 RES blocks the previous turn, you get a low income of new members.

But it also works moderatlly, if you take a mixture of COM, FPL, and RES, than you get about a average income for money, food, and novices.

And I always take this "factor", into consideration when starting a new GangWar and when in the early days of the GangWar, so when i start a new GangWar, I always take the RES blocks, but I also take some FPL and COM blocks, so when the AP rolls around, I get a average income of novices, and it helps me take and keep the lead in the STRENGTH column, because you guys are just taking the RES blocks and just the RES blocks so when the AP rolls around you guys are getting a low income of novices.

Look I'm not saying my theory is bullet proof, but it works almost all the time for me, sense I've been using this strategy for so long.

Just something to take into consideration... :)

I am sorry but you are wrong. :-)

Member income has no factors other than total RES and randomness. Any patterns you might think are there are pure coincidence.

As for being high in strength at the start of the game... it has more to do with how many casualties you take than your member income. People at the top of the list have taken fewer casualties while people at the bottom have taken more.

Vercetti i don't care what the facts say, this strategy works for me. I was asked this question by LRL, at the beginning of 738, he said he had 8000 RES, but he was only getting 400 novices per turn, and thats what I told him, next turn he told me thanks, because he got 800 novices that turn instead of 400. Facts can wrong, but experience says everything. Peroid.

No, No, i mean't Adventure Fame, I was just confused, cuz that was a old game i played too, I think I was a level 36.

And the message I was talkin about is when you were havin a coversation with someone on Adventure Fame, and I saw a bunch of posts by you, and I regonized your name from older GangWar, and I saw on the forum you were pretty good friends with Vercetti.

So I think excatly what i posted was "Hey Suepahfly, haven't seen you on GangWar for a while, just wondering if you were gonna come back or did you lose it? :D"

I meant it as a friendly taught :-), did you not see it?

Hmmm, i must have failed you there, hun :(
I normally read through the entire AF chat (waw, 3 posts a day that aren't mine! haha)...
Didn't get it :(

GW is a little while ago for me.
I'm going for SfP and AF :D
Although i only log in to chat nowadays. I'll never get all my AP worked up!

One day i might come back to GW, but it's intensive. You have to be there all the time, and think about what you do.
Thinking isn't my think as I come here to chill...
And i like to come whenever i'm feel like...

You can always find me in SfP or AF though :D
