Different schools of thought. Check out Raving Tactics, it is discussed there.
Set attack retreat to 10 always. If you are bigger and can afford the losses, set your def ret to 10 - otherwise set to 2. Keep it at 7 for the first 7 days or so to stop opportunists walking over you. |
