I decided to expend most of my AP on my economy (I've learned from playing games like Age of Empires to go all in in the beginning when it comes to economy). 220 BPs like I read on the guide and when I get more AP, I'll shoot for 130 PPs, 260 PSs, 12 CCs and 80 SPs (these are obviously long-term goals). I figure 3 CCs and 20 SPs can be thought of as a division so I'll pump 2 divisions with Fighters, 2 with Bombers and 2 for Sheilds while the next dozen of divs will be a mixture of money ships. Am I on the right track?

Not too bad if this is the first action points you have spent but I've noticed several of what I think are errors. Opionins differ and others may not agree.

Action Points 81 (These will accumulate at 1 every 10 minutes for a non-payer)

Experience 0 (This shows that you have not attacked at all. XP is very important and will directly affect a battle's outcome. Plus attacking is a much more efficient way of gaining minerals than mining)

Score 6800 (with luck you should get over 10k score with your first 500 action points)

Building Plants 220 ( I usually start with 50 BP for my first attack run. Other opinions will differ)

Spaceship Plants 2 (To conserve Action Points You will want to start your first attack run with 10 to 50 of these)

Power Plants 60 (PP's are expensive. 50 should be sufficient for youf first attack run)

Power Storage 75 (These are cheap. Between 50 and 100 will suffice for your first run.)

Space Ports 3 (Bare minimum of 200 ships are needed to attack. Since I like to build in groups (Divisions) of 300 ships I start my offensive with 100 space ports. Many people star with the minimum of 200 ships.)

Command Center 0(you automatically have 1 CC. Every 300 ships need 15 command Centers. Therefore 100 spaceports require 15 command centers. That's 14 command centers for your first 100 space ports.)

Power 640







Fleet Control 70 % (Try and allways keep this at 100%)

Harvester 0

Fighter 3 (Ships are measured in 100's and 1,000s and 10,000s. Single digits will do you no good. Offensively or defencively.)

Star Destroyer 3

Torpedoes 0

Thanks, yeah that's what I've done on the first day so. I'll work on those other things; guess I went a little excessive with the BPs... Oh well, my other Buildings will cost less AP so... Guess I won't be attacking someone for a while. By the way, what is the ideal system of allocation for the first 500 AP you start for future reference? I read the guide though it was quite informative, it didn't really explain the spand of time it takes to accumulate the ideal minimums. I thought I had done something wrong because I thought that he meant that I should have collected 220 BPs, 130 PPs, 260 PSs, etc. within my first APs. Also, from picking up from where I last left off, what is priority investment? I think I have enough BPs, PPs and PSs.

you first investment in ap should always get at least 200 ships. you can do this for about 250 or so ap. mine little bits (10-20 ap or so)then build bp,pp, and pwr storage till you have around 40 bps, 40pps and 70-100 prw st. then build 25 ssp, and 67 sace ship ports and 9 command centers, then 201 ships of your choseing. fighters are cheap to get started, so most build those, to save aps. start your run, win some hits and then build you 220 bp home world. this is by no means the only way, its just 1 way, thats easy for most new people to get started.

oh, by the way, star destroyers? just a tip: they suck. start your run with a nice fighter/ bomber mix(when ap conservation is not as criticial like it is in the first run you make), it works better. when you end your run, build a nice fighter/sheilder mix. i am sure star destroyers have some use, most of us just havent figured it out yet.
