Welcome to cooking with kittens. My name is philldo and ill be ur chef for tonight. On the menu is a 4 course meal consisting of the following...
main dish: Stuffed bell peppers side dish: Chicken noodle goo side dish: cheese n broccoli desert: mini chocolate pies We will start with the side dishes first off Chicken noodle goo in a large pot place 1 pound of chicken. add 3 small cans of chicken broth bring to boil till u feel chicken is cooked thru. mash chicken up in pot with spatula. add water, 1 package of celery, and 1 small package of baby carrots. (each roughly chopped) add 1 onion rough chopped boil mixture untill vegtables are soft. add 1 package of egg noodles and add water so all ingredients are covered. once noodles are done comes the goo part.. add flour or cornstarch or both (up to u) untill soup thickens. (on low heat) then ur done. next up is the broccoli. in medium sause pan add 1 cup of water and however much broccoli u want.. once soft add small amount of butter. once butter melts remove liquid and place in bowl.. get some shredded cheese and place in bowl of broccoli... microwave for 30 seconds and its done. next up is the peppers... INGREDIENTS: * 1 tablespoon olive oil * 1 small onion, finely chopped * 1 stalk celery, chopped * 1 small green bell pepper, chopped * 1 clove garlic, minced * 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley * 1 teaspoon Creole seasoning # salt and ground black pepper to taste # 1 1/2 pounds ground beef # 3/4 pound cooked ham, finely chopped # 1 pound baby shrimp # 1 (16 ounce) package unseasoned dry bread stuffing mix # 6 large green bell peppers, halved and seeded # 1 cup plain bread crumbs DIRECTIONS: 1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). 2. Heat oil in a large pot over low heat. Saute onion, celery and chopped green pepper for 5 minutes. Stir in garlic, and saute for 2 minutes. Season with parsley, Creole seasoning, file powder, salt and pepper. Increase heat to medium high, and add ground beef. Cook until beef is evenly browned. Stir in ham, and cook for 5 minutes. Add shrimp, and cook for 2 minutes. Remove from heat, and stir in stuffing mix. 3. Stuff each bell pepper half, and lightly sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Place stuffed bell pepper halves in ungreased baking dish. Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour. Notes: Because the stuffing is fully cooked prior to baking, you can reduce the baking time by half (30 to 35 minutes) if you blanch the bell peppers in boiling water for 3 minutes before stuffing. next up is the mini pie 2 boxes of chocolate jello 1 thing of whipped cream 1 box of mini pie crusts (graham cracker) 1 package of strawberries 1 chocolate bar make the jello to the pie directons on box add to pie crusts when ready to serve add whipped cream, and shave some of the chocolate bar on top add strawberry. pictures are availiable of each of these completed meals if u know my mail addy. thank u for visiting cooking with kittens. |

I thought cooking the kittens was over the top....but oh my goodness....hes doing things with baby shrimp too...will the horrors never stop? |
