Hi there!
I am very new to the game, still fighting orcs, kobolds and such in the plains. I haven't even ventured into a dungeon yet, i am still learning how to keep my party members alive. This current group i have, seems to be staying alive, and i think i have caught on (a bit) to keep them that way for a while. However, my Magus is not casting his Acid Bolt, or progressing at all, it seems. I have checked the spell usage in the combat settings and according to the default setting (i haven't tinkered here yet) he should be doing some casting. He isn't. Any suggestions? |

Do you have the proper spell components? Does he have enough magic points? |

I have oodles and oodles of spell components. Which ones are used for Acid Bolt? I will be sure to check that. And he also has plenty of MP, because he isn't casting anything at all.
Would his use of a missile weapon the early attack phase preclude him from casting a spell? Maybe that's what i'm doing wrong. Should i unequip his x-bow? |

It tells you that somewhere. I haven't played in a year or more, so I'm not exactly sure where it says that. |

Hi Casaubon
Go to Cast spell on the list on the left hand side . You should see a list of what it cost to cast all your spells. Hermic Root + Moonlight Moss for Ice bolt. The use of weapons + armour makes no difference for spell casting, so give all your people ranged weapons + armour.
