this has really made the game cheap ppl buying loads of ap so they could get ahed and have become legends first of all i though you became a legened through hardworek and honor and showing ppl ur better than them not richer. its cheap its stupid and its unfair. I saying just go back to buying subscriptions as the only way to get a little advantage. Or to make the game from getting boring just let everything run out and accepet no more money like thats gunna happen I konw. (notice that I said buying saying donating means your doing it out of the kindness of your heart and not expecting something in return) |

As much as i agree with you Shawn, Peter has to make a living, he most likely needs the money from the buyers. I do think it gives some people an unfair advantage over some of the veterins, but its all part of the game. If some people are stupid enough to spend 250 bucks on an Online Wrestling game then i think they earned their way to the top in a way. But i dont think that people should stop. If you were forced to pay i would agree with you, but its an option, and those rich people choose to do it. |

I do agree that he needs to make a living but to be able to buy 40,000 ap thats just insane I remeber when I used to be able to fight hickbob this is when i was death arrives and beat him and now hes a legened b'cuz he paid and buuba gump and kowvow and i think the rest of the legendes so vows lowlist is right yall didnt work hard you just paid off a bunch of ppl or just one but still. You'lkll hound on baseball for steroides will aint this exactluy the same and yes i have no respect for anyone in baseball who uses steroides. Unfortunally two ppl pf my fav. team do 1 i expected the other quite shocked. |

Well, unless Peter is independently wealthy and is in to charity work for lonely wrestling fans, Donating is not going to go away. And as far as just buying subscriptions, I doubt that it would net enough money to make this feasible from a business stand point. Which in the final argument it is a Business. If someone else buying makes the game boring for you than perhaps you should look at what you expect out of this game and address that to Peter.
Myself and others are "Stupid" (i'll remember that CT) enough to spend their money on this game, I'm only able to speak for myself but I enjoyed the People as much as the game itself. So I decided to support the game, would I have spent as much if there wasn't an advantage for the money spent. Probably not. But you have to look at it from Peter's point of view, he needs to entice people to support this game financially or it becomes economically unfeasible. So by offering donations with advantages as rewards he is trying to keep the game going. |

Yes...as much as I hate people beating me to retirement since they bought ap (its still good fighting them and making like $600 a win =P ). The game needs financial support and thats why ap is there to be purchased.
If I was richer...or older...sure I'd buy 40,000ap :D |

Meh. I enjoy the pace of the game, the slow build, watching my wrestler grow, a few fights a night. That's what makes it fun for me. Bought my first move tonight, a simple hurricanrana. I was so happy^^
To me, blowing money to amp up my wrestler literally defeats the point. It wouldn't be any fun, and that's why I come back. I enjoy logging on for a half hour every night, because I know I'll see a little improvement, no matter how miniscule. That said, if someone wants to buy their way to the top, that's cool too. Whatever floats your boat. |

Why do you care if they buy ap? If they want to spend money on the game, good for them. It's their money, not yours. Who cares if you're one of the first legends or if they spend money to be there first or even a second time before you get there a first one? Seriously why does it matter so much? They want to invest more into the game, let them.
I really don't care, and I don't see why anyone should. Actually I am glad there is donations and buying of ap. It seems that almost the only people that will fight me are donators. Donators also usually have higher fame, which means you get more money for winning and even losing to them. So in the end I benefit off of it, just not as much as they do. Really I don't know what the problem is, they are the ones that keep this game funded and running for you. You should be thankful for that fact. People buying ap isn't killing this game. KOVOW bought the extra ap a long time before everyone started whining about how VOW is getting boring. Anyone who has been around long enough will attest to that. They support Peter, they support VOW, and they support you/your wrestler. |

My post was really directed to everyone who has a problem with it. I just don't see a problem with it. It's a game and their money keeps it running. I don't feel anyone is insulting them, I just don't see a reason to be upset over it. |

Yeah, I think that you should all be happy that Bubba, hick bob and others donate that lot.
Because of that, VOW is by far the number one game in donations income for Peter. (I think it accounts for like 80%-90%, although you can't be sure of that, since there are people, like me, who did for another game(in fact SfP), but ofcourse get the advantages on all games) But as you can see, thanks to lots of people donating for VOW, the game has been developed intensively over the last 6 to 9 months while the other four games have come to a practical standstill. If anyone of you can think of another way to get Peter the necessary money to survive maybe he might consider removing the buying ap option. I was double-feeling too when I first saw those ap buyers move up. Then I started challenging Bubba and I think, thanks to his high fame, I earned a few tens of thousands of cash. Well, we accept it since the option is there, and for an individual player it doesn't change something really(except tournaments ofcourse, and the number of Legend you will be). Cheers everybody, I think we should close this thread. |

People who don't buy ap = No Skill No skill is required in this game. Although, people who pay for AP are just annoying IMO. I have played this game for 6 months+ and have produced a 2800 Experienced Wrestler. People like hick bob could reach that in a day with their vast wealthes and free time. It's just life. Bastards with money always get their way. |

C'mon people, you should be HAPPY that some of the players are donating - they're the guys who are keeping the game viable for us freeloaders. So they get an in-game advantage - oh well! I lose 60% of my matches, in the win percentages i'm right up (down?) there with Gwaihir, The Bard etc... but you know i'm having 3-4 fun matches a day and every day i get a bit more money, every week i get another move or two... I don't resent people who are better than me in the game. Fer chrissakes. It IS just a game after all ;-)

I don't have any problems with people buying ap. Sure it means that their wrestlers can play more rounds, but it doesn't mean that they can buy moves cheaper, or get any other in-game edge.
More power to them as far as I am concerned, and thanks to them as well for supporting the game. |
