I have been challenged by Jaysens Jobber(31217) last night.
in the morning i accepted the challenge and i received the following message:
This order cost you 30 Action Points.
Challenge Accepted
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Attacker is dead or non exsistant

and 30 ap were missing. I don't find it normaly to lose your ap if no match takes place.
Please consider removing this bug from the system.

Agreed. Any chance of changing this so you don't lose AP for fighting a dead guy?

happens pretty rarely, I think the mods attitude is "happens so rarely, why bother to fix it?"

Plus, whats to stop you from checking the stats of the opponent before fighting?

well he may get killed in one of the overwhelming cage matchs he MUST accept. its pretty hard to die...

Why? It's carelessness on the accepter's part to make sure that the opponent is either in your range, or alive.

How often are you gonna lose the ap anyway?

Just check their stats before accepting...why wouldnt you check stats to see if their any good anyways :S

This is very low on my list of things to do for the excact reason mentioned above.

If you can't be bothered to check your opponents stats you looses alittle ap.

However one day I will fix this.

....what if they detach right before the match or they become non-existant, but not dead.................

ok so i just had it happen to me today. Some n00b challenged me. I checked the challengers stats, it was positive at the time. Then i quickly accepted the challenge (maybe like 3 seconds difference) and he was dead or non-existant. Which i can understand losing the 20 ap, but losing the ap to heal also is just crazy.

I was going to fight the n00b at less than full health, just cuz i knew i'd win and i could use the fame. I would have been at 0 ap had the match been fought, but it wasn't even fought and i still am at 0 ap. kind of annoying, cuz i could have just declined and still had my 39 ap and not had to wait very long till i could fight a normal opponent at full health.

No. In a challenge, if you check opponent's stat, it'd still show up like normal and like as if he's still "alive". I don't know what would come up if you search through "Message" though.

This order cost you 20 Action Points.
Challenge AcceptedAttacker is dead or non exsistant

Can this be changed to where we get these AP back? Or if someone dies or detaches, all their challenges that are hanging get erased?

You can tell if they're dead by checking their Vital Life. If it's in negative numbers then they've kicked the bucket. Also, as already stated before, it's your fault if you don't check these things out before accepting LAW challenges. It takes 2 seconds out of your life to check their VL. It's not that hard, so deal with it.

Didn't mean to bring up a sore spot, Brian. I did check his stats. and a minute later, he was apparently dead.
I realize it isn't high on the list of things on Peter's mind, but it was mentioned that someday he may fix it. I thought I'd check the status.

Thanks to the wrestler (Gatcholio or Mr. Crappy Pants I think) who messaged me a couple of days ago to tell me the wrestler I had been challenged by was dead.

I really appreciate it.
