Thread: New Wrestler Type: Hardcore New Stat: Hardcore

Advantage:

Decreased chance of being pinned, submitted, being put through tables.

Translation: So they have an advantage in singles and tables matches but in turn they take more injuries. Ladders and Cages rely on the other person being able to escape. LMS is a K.O. match anyways. The logistics for this advantage is that Hardcore wrestlers do not stay down.

Stats:

Strength-Medium
Submission-Low
Technical-Low
Aerial-Low
Hardcore-High

Other wrestlers have a hardcore stat of low except for PGs and SNs.

Hardcore moves:

Moves are cheap as hardcore moves should be simple and easy to learn

Chair Shot
Low Blow
Brass Knuckles Assisted Punch

etc.

not gonna happen. no major changes are going to be made to the game for awhile. implementing a new wrestling style would definitely count as a major change

Also, the hardcore wrestler would be limited to certain matches e.g. they couldn't fight singles and go around whacking people with brass knuckles and chairs surely

if that were the case then why even add them? As the game currently stands, any wrestler can fight any type of match. I don't see how adding a new type of wrestler that can only fight certain types of matches will make the game any better.

And about brass knuckles and such, it has been stated before that weapons will never be added to the game.

now now bttw you know theres no sense in arguing with the delirious noobs they will always dream the dumb stuff up and give us material to knock :)

Weapons would only be implemented if the players did state the damages of the weapons, the chances, and maybe even a DQ chance for singles matches.....

VOW doesn't allow blood so what is the point of a hardcore wrestler, a hardcore type should be in a more risk level of a game, not VOW, a family oriented type.....

If you really want to have hardcore matches use a Singles match as a base, rewrite it, and add weapons....

I fight for the people who say we should add Hardcore matchs/moves/type of wrestlers!

I think if we post it enough then the big boys will have to do something about it!

I also agree with version 1 I have said this to people knocking me about my suggestion of a hardcore match before. It's exactly true. What is the problem with big changes? If nothings done we would not have a players list and have to type in random id's to challenge and have no chat and only have one type of match.

The stats would probably wind up close to SN stats anyway in all honesty. Wouldn't really bring anything to the game really I wouldn't think.

it'd be great Peter could just refine it and cut it down to his liking. It wouldn't have to be greatly expansive just add dq %, chair moves, and the stat. Then bigger changes could be made later to modofy it for later purporses. And also read my referee and no holds barred post it is practically the same as this, with my ideas. It has the idea of the referee being added to normal matches aswell, go read it.

Peter has said before that major changes are a LONG way away. Hardcore has been knocked back a lot as well. This is a family game, and he doesn't really want to include weapons in it.

i love it :) all the newer players (at least I don't recognize their usernames) are for it and all the older players are against it (excluding lazy of course).

I know who i'd side with if I was Peter :)

I love the idea. The added possible dq factor for reguler matched would be great. As for this being a family game. Uh with only 1 account per comp thing, i think it would be impossible for an entire family to play this game on the same computer. How many of us actualy have family members that play this game? We should do things to make things more fun. Even if that means adding in blood and hardcore matches.

That is not what is meant as "family" game. It means that people of any age can sit down, play the game, and not have to worry about excessive blood, gore, sexuality or language.

What the hell rock have you new guys been living under?

Nothing wrong with a little blood. Look at all the kids who play the mortal kombat and resident evil games. lol.

and those games come with an "M" rating. Which is not family friendly. Try to use some common sense before you post. There is a huge difference between an "M" and an "E".

Is the reason you want hardcore matchs because you cant build a proper wrestler and can be competitve the way vow is now? that would be my guess, i feel and have stated numerous times finish what has already been started, stables, make stables a bigger part of the game. There is so much that could be done with stables.
And for the record i strongly oppose hardcore matchs in any form vow is offensive enough this would only add to it.

u guys that say ur excuse for not making a hardcore match is coz blood and gore is not family frendly r all rrrretards....It browser based for gods sake! Its not like u can c anything is it?!!!? A tables mach or a ladder match is the same exept it would add a chair and maybe a baseball bat...And 5 year old kids cant even serch the net...

Obviously somebody needs to learn about manners and respect here. 5 year olds don't play the game, point being? Youngsters play games, and immitate what they read/see. So if you add baseball bats, they'll assume it is OK to hit people with bats. Why do you think games like GTA and Headhunter are banned in some countries?

Ok, let's start with the blindingly obvious. You can't spell to save your life. Second, no one cares about your IM ese, where you abbreviate everything to lower your intelligence quotient as well as everyone who has to try and read your attempt at posting.

Now, it is no worse than a ladder or table is it? Let's say there is a text game where you fire RPGs, .50 cal machine guns, and the premise is to slaughter your opponent. According to you, since they can't see it, it is okay?

By that token, someone should be able to take you out to the woodshed, where no one is around, and beat you senseless. Since no one can see it, it must be cool according to you.

Think before you speak.

I played the Mortal Kombat games growing up and I never went around beating the crap of out of people for no reason or performing fatalities on people. I grew up watching wrestling I have not gone around powerslamming people. I watched horror movies such as Nightmare on Elm street and Child's Play movies when i was little and I never went around killing people.

It is the Parent's Responsibity for their kids to know the difference between reality and fiction. Also I do not see many kids under the age of 10 playing this game. Most kids then prefer games with graphics. Not words. Now how many people ages 10-13 even will want to play I game without graphics either? Not many. Most of the ones that would be interesting in these kinds of games would be smart enough to tell the difference between real life and fiction. Also you say this is for safe for anyone. It can be said that any game that allows you to beat up someone, throw them through tables and so on, are not acceptable to all ages. I do not see how adding a hardcore match would effect a rating at all. Heck who is to say you have to have blood. I have played some wrestling games that do not have any blood in them and they have hardcore matches. Also wrestling games such as WWE Smackdown: Here Come the Pain is rated teen and it has blood. Seems to me that only teens and adults are the only ones that actualy play this game.

Only seriously deformed children would expect 2 hit sum1 with a baseball bat just coz they saw it in a game. And as for family wheres WCW?! No seriously dont rant on with ur useless crap ansa my question...No1 who is 2 yung 2 understand hitting sum1 with sharp, heavy or dangerous equipment is something rong is not going 2 b playing an neither is a seriously deformed child for that matter... This game is boring becoz its trying not 2 offend ne1. And ur a tool btw Thor. =) urs sincerely the 1 that ends all...

Larry Termite.

Ps. Thor its called computer talk its alot easier wen ur doing a milion other things at once just coz u dont have a job and u sit in ur home all day trying 2 make VOW continuely boring doesnt mean other ppl dont do stuff m8. Increase ur life exp.

Before you talk Blakman, know who you are dealing with.

Let's start with this. As has been stated before, Peter has said there will be NO MAJOR CHANGES in the game for quite a while. That means your entire argument, is useless. No matter how many times you post it, it will NOT happen.

Second, life experience? I have a college degree, and eight years in the military. Two tours in Iraq, one in Afghanistan. I earned the right to be able to take time to sit home and do what I choose.

So the tool, dear boy, is you.

I suppose I have to be in favor of Hardcore styles being added into the game to keep it fresh and interesting. Who said there has to be blood after getting hit with a weapon?? Another thing is that the match play by play needs to be updated as well, cause thats pretty dang boring. With the rebirth of ECW, why not give VOW a chance to have a decent hardcore revolution of its own?

Come on!!

You really don't need a hardcore stat. You could add hardcore moves to an already long moves list, but, that would have to be up the the developers as to which moves to be added as there are already matches that can be called hardcore matches like LMS, CAGE, Table and Ladders. Having moves with an hardcore edge could make a difference. Better yet, just name a special the hardcore move you want..:)
